Our mission as School Counselors of Wylie ISD is to provide a comprehensive, developmental guidance and counseling program that focuses on the personal/social, academic, and career prep/college planning for all students. The guidance and counseling program is an integral part of our school's total program supporting an education of excellence so that all students may function effectively, successfully and productively in society.

The Wylie ISD Guidance Plan follows FFEA Legal to include the following:

All school counselors will participate in planning, implementing and evaluating a comprehensive developmental guidance program to serve all students working with school faculty and staff, students, parents and community.  The plan will include:

1.  A Guidance Curriculum to help all students develop their full education potential.

2.  A Responsive Services component to intervene on behalf of students whose immediate personal concerns or problems put the student’s continued educational, career, personal or social development at risk.

3.  An Individual Planning system to guide a student as the student plans, monitors, and manages the student’s own education, career, personal and social development; and

4.  System Support to support the efforts of teacher, staff, parents and other members of the community in promoting the education, career, personal and social development of students.
